Programme of Armenian Studies

Course venue

The courses will take place in Muswell Hill in London. Muswell Hill is one of the most sought after places in London, just 40 minutes by bus or 30 minutes journey by bus and underground to central London. Muswell Hill is also one of the safest neighbourhoods to stay in, with a range of cafés, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and green spaces.

Classes will be held in North Bank, a Victorian villa in beautiful landscaped grounds on Pages Lane. The villa is fully equipped with teaching equipment, WiFi, and a modern kitchen. This is level access to the garden and a lift to all floors.

London in the summer

The English literary figure Samuel Johnson famously said that ‘when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.’ The city is a meeting point of cultures and subcultures, and is a particularly vibrant place to be in the summer.

Muswell Hill borders a number of London hubs, each with their own unique atmosphere:

  • Green Lanes (15 minutes by bus) is a great place to experience world-class Anatolian food.
  • Camden (30 minutes by bus and underground) is a great place to visit for its markets and street food in the daytime and its bars and clubs at night.
  • Islington (35 minutes by bus and underground) is a beautiful neighbourhood for shopping (especially bookshops) and eating out.
  • Bloomsbury (40 minutes by bus and underground) is home to the British Museum, Wellcome Collection and the British Library. London is renowned for offering free entry to most of its museums and galleries.
